My life is full of serious things, and big ideas at the moment, with university finally in the cards, and sometimes, I wonder if maybe I should write about other topics besides weddings. But honestly, after a day of hard work and deep thinking, it really is quite sweet to come home to an inbox of lovely wedding submissions and ideas. After all, what is more significant than love?
The bride in my next feature, photographed by the lovely Uzma of Uzbin Photography, appeared twice before on my blog. First, her gorgeous mehndi outfit in a pretty marigold yellow with touches of complementary red and a deep green shalwar, and second on her Nikkah day at a gorgeous Montreal venue in mint blue and lipstick red. Today, I'm sharing with you her Walima reception, held in DC at the elegant Carnegie Institute of Science (my inner nerd is squealing). She wore a whisper green kurta with plum accents and deep red dupatta. Favourite details include red-stone arsi ring and stonework karaa, also, the exit from the venue at the end of the night with candles trailing down the steps, completely romantic!
