Love-ly Locks: The Fishtail Braid at Tory Burch Spring 2013

Tory Burch is my current fashion icon, and her accessories are definitely on my lust list.  One day I will own those logo flats, I tell you!  So it's an understatement to say that I was kind of thrilled to see the prominence of the fishtail braid in her runway collection for the upcoming spring season.  There has been a mixed reception for bloggers at NYFW, some veterans annoyed with their pretentions to status and name-dropping, others embracing their ability to disseminate and embrace trends faster than other fashion portals.

Still, it stands as a fact that they are part of the landscape of fashion media.  To have actually influenced the aesthetics of a fashion show, however, for a trend to move from the bottom up, from blogs and onto the runway, is, I think a relatively new trope for bloggers to have accomplished, so kudos to us.  Keep scrolling down for links to some of my favourite blog posts on the fishtail braid, including videos, pictorials and galleries.
