If you are a trendwatcher, you may have noticed a leaning towards baroque these days, on the blogosphere, in magazines and in stores too. Baroque is just a term for an art movement that favoured drama, extravagance and grandeur in creation of artworks. In the fashion world, this translates into a lot of dramatic makeup, gold, overwrought textile design and big, beautiful hair. When I saw these looks from Hadiqa Kiani Signature Salon in Lahore, Pakistan, it was immediately the word that came to my mind. The bouffant hair, framed by amazingly smooth braids are stunning in construction. Thanks for sharing the link, will definitely be saving some of these, my personal preferences are the simpler styles - too many braids in different directions and pinned curls look a bit too over the top to me!
Nazma, my own personal style is towards the simple cleaner looks too, and actually, Hadiqa has loads of those as well on her facebook, you should check them out!
I decided to post these because I liked them anyway, and that made me think that on the right bride, in the right venue with the right dress, these could look striking.
