Manav Gangwani's collection of 80's inspired couture pieces was decadent and extremely vogue, with big shoulders, dropped waists, net fabric, tulle, satin, and a bold black, white and red palette. The pattern scheme was a bit baroque, with the use of stylized floral and flourish motifs. This collection is over-the-top but Gangwani still retains artistic control over his vision by sticking to a very clear set of overall aesthetics. The collection offers a wide range of wardrobe options, from sexy cocktail dresses to demure anarkalis, sticking to a single colour scheme, but never appearing similar. I love so many of the clothes in this collection, it's really hard to play favourites, but stand-outs include a black shear saree with stark white flourish borders, a black lehenga with a long overcoat in white with black velvet embroidery, and a one-shoulder cocktail dress, with floral lace going up one side.
