I love the look of backstage runway photography. I get the sense of impending excitement and the thrill of anticipation that everyone, designers, models, makeup artists, hairstylists, photographers, coordinators, feels as the show is at the cusp of starting. The makeup shots tend to be particularly good, not only because the the models tend to be the photographers' main focus, but because the lighting with the dim backlight and the heavy lighting from the makeup mirrors, highlight exactly what I want to see.
