Love-ly Locks: Badgley Mischka's Twist Up-do for Spring 2013

This is definitely my kind of hairstyle.  Simple, pretty and easy to execute, with or without the flowers. Although it may be less structured if you are planning a formal event with your dupatta on your head, there are plenty of pre- and post- wedding parties where you may be looking for a semi-formal look.  You can learn to do this and use it long after your wedding has passed.

To achieve this hairstyle, start by applying texturizing cream to smooth hair and create and centre part.  Divide the hair in two sections and twist each into a rope, taking care to start above the ears, working your way into the base of your neck, for added texture to the sides of the hairdo. Twirl the two sections together to form a thick, single rope and then wrap it close to the base of your head and pin into place.  Spray with hairspray, hairstylist for Badgley Mischka, Peter Gray used Moroccanoil Luminous hold strong.  For a softer look, tease out some of the ends from the bun. Add flowers for a romantic touch, if desired.
