Aside from that weird headpiece in the first picture, which I can't see anyone buying, these are nice pieces. I LOVE the hairpiece in the second picture, mostly because jewellery like that is rare to find in desi collections, also because I think it's pretty versatile as a jhoomar or tikka as well. I like the organic shapes of the pieces, the use of opaque stones and enamel etching for a traditional, very raw feel to the pieces. These are designed to look like the work of old-style artisans. They are BIG pieces, and will work better over self prints and raw silk, where they won't be competing with a load of embroidery for attention.
The Accessorized Bride: Art Karat's Begum Collection
I was really happy to see the latest jewellery collection from Art Karat, mostly because I wasn't thrilled by their last two series, based on Bollywood stylings of Aishwarya and Juhi. Unfortunately, those two collections did nothing to flatter their muses and weren't all that exciting to me. I guess I prefer a more traditional, kundan look when it comes to jewellery. It also seems to be more on trend, in my view.

I absolutely can't pull of any of these looks even if I tried my hardest.
Love the teeka in the 3rd picture!
All of them are so Royal. So difficult to pick the best. Love the Grace.
I kinda like the bizarre first headpiece. Very unusual but certainly not for everyone.
