Hello everyone?  How was your weekend? Mine was quite lovely, actually, since we are having a spell of unexpectedly sunny and warm weather here in Toronto, and I feel like summer has been extended just a little bit for our viewing pleasure.  Lucky for me, this weekend's not over yet, since this is a long weekend in Canada, and everyone's celebrating Thanksgiving.  I'll be off today, sunning myself just a little longer and hopefully getting my brain food via a good book. When it comes to bridal wear designer Tarun Tahiliani is the trend-setter, I love his traditional yet high fashion designs. Shilpa Shetty is not only his muse but also his showstopper in many of his catwalk shows.

2) Actresses - Konkona Sen Sharma

I haven’t really seen any Indian stars that have got married, and I liked their personal style, but that’s not the case with Konkona Sen Sharma, this Bengali beauty was a chic and elegant as a bride. She wore her grandmother’s antique kundan jewellery and a pale gold sari. Proving that as an Asian bride you can be understated and still look amazing.

3) Filmy Favourites - Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rani Mukherjee

Aishwarya - This mother-to-be has practically shaped what brides have worn in recent years, with films like Devads, Umrao Jaan, & Jodha Akbar/ Personally I have always loved Rani Mukherjee as a bride notably Babul, Paheli, and Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna

4) Editorial/Advertising – TanishQ

Wedding Wow was a Photo-shoot for Tanishq brand of jewellery by ace photographer Sharon Nayak, I remember first see her work on this very blog, and being in awe, all her shoots are stunning, but this is my favourite, the gold and celadon colour palette is so pretty. It serves so well as inspiration for any bride to be.

5) Real Life - Real Brides, Saadia and Shradda

Seeing any bride in her wedding lengha is a fashion moment in itself really, but in particular what I love seeing is a real bride just like us, pulling off a designer creation for her big day. What we see in the magazines translated into real life. Love!
