Hiiiiiii everyone! Hope your weekend went well...mine was pretty hectic with a daawat/party on Saturday night (How did it go, you ask? Well...let's just say that it was one of those days...lol), and Bridalicious on Sunday. I'll post more about that later on this week, but in the meanwhile you can check out pics from the event at LBB's blog.
I did want to mention something interesting about the grab bag we were very kindly provided on the way out. It contained a new magazine (or new to me) called OHM Wedding, aimed at the Tamil and South Indian Community. I've only had a brief look, but so far, it seems good, and as far as I'm concerned, it was about time someone undertook the task of writing and catering for this underserved segment of the South Asian Diaspora. Here in Canada, they actually make up some of the more affluent and well-educated sectors of the population. Their cultures, traditions and bridal aesthetics vary in some specific ways from other regions of South Asia, so it's nice to see an attempt to take that into account.
